Commencement 2008
Commencement 2008 is scheduled for Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends will be allowed to enter the auditorium at approximately 9:30 a.m. Disabled guests who will need assistance will be allowed to check-in at 9:00 a.m., and will receive priority entry to the auditorium when the doors open at 9:30 am. Graduating students will need to check in at Avery Fisher Hall at approximately 8:30 a.m. The ceremony will be approximately two hours long.

Tickets & Seating
Graduating students have been allotted up to five tickets each. Graduates are strongly encouraged to return any extra tickets to the Office of Alumni Relations to be redistributed among students who are seeking extra seats.

All available tickets currently have been requested by graduating students; however, we expect some small  number of tickets to be returned between now and Commencement, due to graduates' changes of plans, etc. We therefore hope to be able to distribute some number of additional tickets to meet requests on or after May 1st, as they become available. Unfortunately, additional tickets cannot be guaranteed at this time.

(Please note: Because there is no charge for tickets to the Law School’s Commencement ceremony, any attempt to sell Commencement tickets is unethical, as well as unfair, to your classmates. Law School policy forbids the sale of tickets to the Commencement ceremony.)

We’re excited to be working with you to make this a very special occasion for you and the people who are special to you. We share in your excitement and enthusiasm for the day’s festivities. If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email to Commencement@nyls.edu.
