WHAT:
New York Law School's Center for New York City Law Breakfast. The fourth forum of the autumn series features Harold O. Levy, New York City Public Schools Chancellor, who will address current issues facing the public education system in the city.
WHO:
Harold O. Levy, New York City Public Schools Chancellor, officially took over the position in May of 2000, after serving as interim chancellor since January of that year. An alumnus of the city's public schools, Levy went on to earn Ivy League undergraduate and law degrees. He has worked as a corporate attorney on Wall Street and devoted much of his time to education, particularly the New York City public school system. In March of 1997, he was elected by the State Legislature to serve as a member of the New York Board of Regents. There will be an open mike Q&A after the discussion.

The Center for New York City Law at New York Law School, founded in 1993, publishes City Law, a bi-monthly journal reporting New York City legal and administrative decisions. The Center's Director, Professor Ross Sandler, is former Commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation and a Special Advisor to the Mayor.
